Which cookies this website uses, why, and how you can manage your preferences.
This page complements the privacy policy and specifically describes the use of cookies and trackers on this website, published by iCONNEKT TECHNOLOGIES. The principle applied is restraint: no advertising or tracking cookie is set by default. Points still under review are clearly marked for validation.
In its current version, this website sets no advertising or tracking cookie used for profiling. No consent banner is therefore displayed at this stage. iCONNEKT TECHNOLOGIES has selected Google Analytics 4 (GA4) as its audience analytics tool; its technical integration is not yet active on this website. This page will be updated once it is activated, and a consent mechanism — as easy to refuse as to accept — will be put in place before any data is collected.
A cookie (or tracker) is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website, used to remember certain information — a preference, a browsing session or an audience measurement. A cookie may be set by the website publisher (first-party cookie) or by a third party whose content is embedded in the page (third-party cookie).
By default, this website sets no advertising, cross-site tracking or profiling cookie. It contains no social-media sharing widget and no embedded video that could set third-party cookies. The WhatsApp chat button shown on the site is a plain external link (wa.me): it embeds no third-party content in the page and therefore sets no cookie unless and until it is clicked, which opens a conversation in the WhatsApp app or website, outside this website.
[TO VALIDATE]— Details of any technical cookies set by the website's hosting provider or content delivery network (CDN) will be confirmed and published here before going live.
No analytics tool is technically active at this time. iCONNEKT TECHNOLOGIES has selected Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for this purpose; its technical rollout will come with a compliant consent banner: refusal will be as easy as acceptance, continued browsing will not be treated as consent, and your choice will be retained for a limited period before being asked again.
[TO VALIDATE]— The precise data collected by GA4 will be published here once it is technically activated.
[TO VALIDATE]— In the absence of any technically active tracker, no cookie-related retention period currently applies. Once GA4 is activated, the retention period for the tracker and the associated data will be specified in this section.
Since this website sets no non-essential cookie, no action is required on your part. You can review and change your browser's cookie settings at any time (blocking, deletion, private browsing): these settings apply to every website you visit, including this one should cookies be introduced in the future.
iCONNEKT TECHNOLOGIES' activities fall under the legal frameworks of Côte d'Ivoire and Cameroon, where its offices are located. To our knowledge, neither Ivorian law n°2013-450 of 19 June 2013 on the protection of personal data, nor Cameroonian law, contains a provision specific to cookies; the principles set out above draw, as a matter of good practice, on European guidance on trackers. The website targets the West and Central African market and does not specifically target visitors from the European Union (per the targeting criteria in European Data Protection Board Guidelines 3/2018); the GDPR therefore does not apply on that basis. This assessment will be revisited if the website's commercial targeting changes.
